The security matrix is a set of alphanumeric characters, which function as identification passwords so that a natural or legal person can request their foreign trade operations through a Data Stage. On its website, the National Customs Agency from Mexico (ANAM) has published on its website the requirements for the application for the first time of the Security Matrix, as well as for its renewal, in addition to making available the corresponding format to carry out the processing request.
It should be noted that the validity of the security matrix is three years from the registration registration date and its renewal must be carried out 45 calendar days before its validity expires.
According to the new Internal Regulations of ANAM, it is necessary to consider that they must go to the General Directorate of Modernization, Equipment and Customs Infrastructure of ANAM (previously they went to the Central Administration of Customs Planning), this due to changes in the decentralized bodies of the SHCP, by 2022.
